2020 Prescient Signature Red Blend Report

The annual Prescient Signature Red Blend Report was released on 1 September. This report is convened by Winemag.co.za and sponsored by multinational financial services company Prescient.

The Top 10 list is as follows:

  • Boschendal Black Angus 2017
  • Boschendal Nicolas 2017
  • De Krans Tritonia Calitzdorp Blend 2017
  • Guardian Peak SMG 2017
  • Joostenberg Bakermat 2017
  • Org de Rac Die Waghuis Red 2018
  • Org de Rac Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot 2019
  • Rust en Vrede Estate 2017
  • Tierhoek Grenache Syrah Mourvedre 2019
  • Warwick Three Cape Ladies 2017

Wines entered into the Signature Red Blend category are blind tasted and rated based on the 100-point quality scale. The Top 10 wines in the category's precise scores are only revealed at a gala dinner where the individual best wine per category will receive an award. The Best of Category wines will subsequently be shown at tastings in both Johannesburg and London.
