Barbera

Red Italian grape variety that is mainly grown in Piemonte. Barbera is the quintessential ‘wine of the people,’ it’s meant to be enjoyed young. Wine made form the grape tends to have a deep colour, full body, low tannins and high levels of acidity. The prominent flavours are dark cherry, plum, dried strawberry and blackberry.
